Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multicultural family. Born within South London. Both her parents are both English. Her family was on the southern part of London Council Estate. She was a student at The Brit School aged 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was earned. During her time at the academy, she performed in a number of stage productions such as the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. After the film's success, Madekwe was cast as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi who was the leading character in ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in 2008. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe first aired in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama show ran on The CW for only two episodes, but it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series on ABC Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she would quit the show after completing a guest episode in the first series of the 3rd. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents were Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the summer and winter. They grew up playing the arenas and baseball. Ashley couldn't walk, however she danced. As a result, when she turned 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer immediately. Ashley continued to perform competitively until her high-school graduation with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and more. All of the important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the honor of "top individualist".
