Ford launched a heavy metal solo career when the band broke up in 1979. She took voice lessons, and released her first solo album 'Out for Blood'. It was then 'Dancin' On the Edge'. Ford did not achieve anything with either of them, so she walked away from the rock scene for about 10 years. It was 1988 when Ford debuted her wildly successful album 'Lita.' It became a huge smash for the track 'Kiss Me Deadly,' as well as the ballad 'Close My eyes Forever. The problem was that she only was a brief star and then disappeared from the music scene for a number of years. In 1995, she released her debut album 'Black,' and 15 years later she released 'Wicked' Wonderland. Her latest album "Time Capsule," released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
